A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY:
GREEN BUILDING & ENERGY STAR

At Building Dimensions we're committed to applying the same level of care and consideration we use in our personal lives to every professional project. Thus, the decision to "build green" was simple.

Green building is a general term that describes design and construction that improves the way the home utilizes precious resources such as energy, water and materials to reduce impacts on human health and the environment. This is typically a higher standard than conventional construction techniques, including making environmentally-friendly and sustainable decisions throughout the building process.

What should buyers look for in a green home?

Energy efficiency is a great place to start. Energy use within the home often comes from burning fossil fuels at power plants, which contribute to smog, acid rain and increase risks of climate change. Thus the less energy used, the lower the impact on the environment. Experience has shown that we can build beautiful homes that are both environmentally friendly and cost efficient.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognizes Building Dimensions, Inc. as an Energy Star Partner, building 100% of our homes to be Energy Star Certified. We integrate features such as energy efficient insulation, heating and cooling systems, natural ventilation, tankless water heaters, LED lamps, energy efficient appliances and more.

We are recognized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as a Certified Green Professional™ (CGP). This designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green and sustainable building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction.
