In August of 1964 I was placed into the care of the Children’s Home Society of NC (CHS). October of 1964, at the age of eight weeks, brought my official adoption into a family which also gave me an adopted brother who I quickly grew to adore. Fast forward to 2013 and my life-long prayer was answered to find my biological mother. The reunion has been magical – my mother is a priceless jewel in my eyes. My mother also surprised me with a beautiful gift of a full sister born four years after me. Four very special nieces came with the package as well. The blessings continued when in 2015 I was reunited with my biological father. He has brought many happy beats to my heart.
I was only one of thousands of children that have been placed into an adoptive home by CHS. Ultimately they were instrumental in helping me realize my dream of my biological family and I couldn’t be happier!
